Connect and qualify the machine
Establish a fresh controller session before setup or motion.
Step by step
- With the machine stopped, select the intended machine profile. Check the controller, port and baud in Connection.
- Connect and inspect the reported identity and machine state. A saved profile is not proof of which physical machine is attached.
- Open Machine Control and choose READ MACHINE STATE. Follow the available setup or commissioning instructions for this connection.
- For a commissioned machine, confirm setup, choose BEGIN MACHINE SETUP, home, then ENABLE PRODUCTION CONTROLS when offered.
- After USB loss, reset or reconnect, repeat the fresh checks. Use Recovery for an interrupted job rather than starting it from memory.
